"The Living One "
Easter SundayApril 4, 2010
"In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? ”
Luke 24:5
On Easter morning, the women came to the tomb and found that Christ's body was no longer present for He had risen from the death to conquer sin, death and satan.
With their usual enthusiasm, St. Mark's youth prepared and served a wonderful Easter morning breakfast. Throughout the hall, one could hear "Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!" greetings heard as people arrive.
With breakfast completed, the children love the opportunity to have an Easter egg hunt on the lawn, with special treats to celebrate Christ's resurrection.
With the six week journey to the cross complete, everyone celebrated Christ's resurrection at the Easter service.
To God goes the Glory!
