The journey to Easter begins on Ash Wednesday, followed by five Lenten services to prepare and take us on the journey through God's Word as Christ prepares for his sacrifice for our sins.
After the Lenten services, Holy Week is celebrated, beginning with Palm Sunday, when we celebrate Christ's entry into Jerusalem to the cheers of many.
On Maundy Thursday, we remember when Christ and his disciples gathered for his last meal and when communion was first celebrated.
The Good Friday worship remembers Christ's ultimate sacrifice through his suffering in the hands of the Romans as he journeyed to the cross and died for our sins.
